One method is the hydro-jetting method, where water is forced into the drain pipe at high pressures of at 3,500 psi. This water unclogs the pipes, to allow water to freely flow. However, for smaller leaks along the drain pipe, drain relining is used to repair the leaking areas of the pipe.
The lining applied to the pipes adds a layer of resin which hardens the pipe and stops the leak. The other alternative is Power Rodding, where a metal cable with a blade is inserted into the pipe, to the site of the blockage. The cable is fitted with sharp metal blades which slice sludge into smaller pieces. These smaller pieces are slid down the drain by water afterwards to unclog the drainage.
